판교는 여러 회사들이 모여 큰 단지를 이루고 있는 도시이다. ‘이 도시 속의 사람들에게 어떤 경험을 가져다 줄 수 있을까?’, ‘이 사람들의 생활에 채워줄 수 있는 부족함이 있을까?’라는 질문에서부터 시작하여, 하나의 큰 업무공간 속 간단히 산책을 하면서 생각을 정리할 수 있는 공간을 제공하고자 하였다.
건축물을 사용하는 사람들에게 1층부터 중층부까지 이어진 경사로를 통해 녹지를 보며 보행할 수 있도록 하고자 하였다. 특히 경사로를 타고 내려와 1층에 도달하였을 때 녹지와 바로 이어질 수 있도록 하여 자연스럽게 산책의 동선을 잇고자 하였다. 중층부의 커다란 아트리움과 연계된 도서관을 통해 방문자들에게는 문화공간을, 회사원들에게는 휴식공간 및 정보를 수집할 수 있는 공간을 제공하고자 하였다.
Pangyo is a city where numerous companies come together to form a large complex. Starting from the questions, “What kind of experiences can we bring to the people in this city?” and “What gaps in their lives can we fill?”, we aimed to provide a space where people can take a walk and organize their thoughts within a large workspace.
Intended to create a walking path where users of the building can enjoy the greenery from the first floor to the middle floors via a connected ramp. Especially, design the ramp to seamlessly connect to the greenery on the first floor, allowing a natural flow for walking. By incorporating a large atrium in the middle floors with an adjoining library, aiming to offer visitors a cultural space and provide office workers with a place for relaxation and information gathering.
Site
대지는 판교의 테크노 밸리와 인접한 장소로 북측으로는 녹지와 하천이 흐르고, 동측과 서측으로 테크노 밸리와 연결된 대로가 존재한다. 남동측으로는 판교역과 이어지는 횡단보도가 존재한다. 블록 중심부에 sunken garden이 있는 형태이며, 인접 블록으로는 아파트 단지와 상업 단지 블록이 있다.
인접한 블록들 중에서 녹지와 직접적으로 연결된 블록에 초점을 맞추어, ‘보행’을 중심으로 사람들이 공간을 사용할 수 있도록 계획하였다. 또한, 판교역에 집중된 유동 인구를 사이트가 위치한 블록 내로 분산시키는 것을 목표로 하였다.
The site is adjacent to Pangyo’s Techno Valley, where green areas and rivers flow to the north, and there is a boulevard connected to Techno Valley to the east and west. To the southeast, there is a crosswalk that connects with Pangyo Station. It is in the form of a sunken garden in the center of the block, and adjacent blocks include an apartment complex and a commercial complex block.
Designer focused on blocks that are directly connected to green spaces among the adjacent blocks, aiming to create a pedestrian-centric environment. Additionally, designer aimed to disperse the pedestrian traffic concentrated around Pangyo Station into the block where the site is located.
Design
직육면체의 형상에서 용도에 따라 총 3가지의 매스로 분리하였고, 이 중에서 중층부 매스를 셋백하여 여유공간을 만들었다. 이후 상업공간을 중층부 매스와 동일하게 셋백을 적용하였고, 여유공간을 하나의 램프로 이어 수직 동선을 구상하였다.
The rectangular form was divided into three masses based on their use, with the middle mass set back to create an open space. Subsequently, the commercial space was also set back in the same manner as the middle mass, and the open spaces were connected with a single ramp to form a vertical circulation.
Program
저층부는 포디움으로써 팝업공간, 식당, 카페들이 자리잡고 있어 사람들이 진입하였을 때 휴식및 취식을 할 수 있는 공간을 마련하였다. 중층부는 3개층을 이은 하나의 큰 아트리움을 구상하여 녹지를 바라보고 앉을 수 있는 스탠드 계단을 위치하였고, 스탠드 계단의 뒤쪽으로는 도서관을 위치하여 사람들의 문화공간을 조성하고자 하였다. 또한 중층부와 저층부를 한번에 잇는 경사로를 구성하여 사람들이 건축물 내에서 산책을 즐길 수 있는 공간을 만들고자 하였다.
The lower floors serve as a podium, housing pop-up spaces, restaurants, and cafes, providing people with a space to rest and dine upon entering. The middle floors feature a large atrium spanning three levels, with stepped seating that offers views of the greenery. Behind the stepped seating, a library is located to create a cultural space for people. Additionally, we designed a ramp that connects the middle floors to the lower floors, creating a space where people can enjoy a walk within the building.
